How Sunday Girl Digital Changed My Life

Looking at the photos in my camera roll this morning, I realized how lucky I am as a mom because I have the opportunity to not have to choose between working and spending quality time with my toddler. On the side, I also get to work on Sunday Girl Digital's growth and have a couple of hours to myself every week. It's a huge privilege, really.

My husband and I took our son to the mall yesterday for the very first time in his young life. It was a quick toy run, and we wanted him to experience choosing a toy for himself for the first time. He went around not knowing what to do LOL but he ended up choosing a Baby Shark plushie over a Peppa Pig bubble maker.

Looking at the photos in my camera roll this morning, I realized how lucky I am as a mom because I have the opportunity to not have to choose between working and spending quality time with my toddler. On the side, I also get to work on Sunday Girl Digital’s growth and have a couple of hours to myself every week. It’s a huge privilege, really.

I used to work as an online English as a Second Language teacher and also as a Language Teaching Quality Assurance Specialist. It may sound like a fun teaching job, but it was a corporate job. It was such a stressful career towards the end, and it took its toll on me around 2018, and I knew I had to find other ways to live my life. I can’t just wake up, go to work, go home, and drink alone at home before repeating the same cycle over and over again.

Choosing to focus on my freelance career in mid-2018 was the best decision I’ve ever made. It gave me time to get married, spend time with my dad who passed away in December that same year, and became pregnant with my son the following year. And the rest was history…

It’s not exactly a balanced lifestyle all the time, and of course, I’ve struggled a lot (I still do) but it was the best decision of my life. These days, I wake up and work with a purpose. Sure mom life can make me super busy, but there’s always room to grow my business, cater to clients, and still be a present & involved parent while not having to sacrifice my weekly me-time.

This is something that I want my clients to experience as well. 🌟 I want them to have time for their family and for their business. Most especially, time for themselves.

Which is why I do what I do. I want to help people by taking some load off their hands. In this case, taking over social media content creation, scheduling of content, and tracking of monthly analytics to improve a client’s social media presence.

It’s not a lot of work, but I know it’s one or a few things not to think about all the time. And that can help my clients focus on what they want to do in life. Whether it’s spending time with family, traveling, or simply growing their business through other means… they won’t have to worry about losing their audience.
